Used to come here frequently until they asked me to pay a $7 cover. Time for a new local spot.
Nice
Sububan Club for the young boys.
fun spot
if you don't have fun, don't bother going out at all!
My review was for Hunters, not Phoenix.
Great Find!
I recently came across Hunter's while visiting the area on business. Despite poor reviews I decided to go because I had nothing else to do. I went both on a Wed & Thurs night. Wed was a little slow, but I was impressed with the club and thought the patio area was really cool. Sean, one of the bartenders was very friendly, and remembered me when I came back the next night. Thursday night was a busier with a good crowd. Plenty of attractive men and women were there. I even noticed several transgender people who seemed to be having a good time. I thought the drink prices were comparable to everywhere else that I've been in regards to gay bars from Chicago to Ft Lauderdale. I did noticed that there seemed to be several clicks and people didn't seem to want to approach people they didn't know. I'm not use to that, so it was a little unusual to me, but I still enjoyed being there. If I'm in the area again, I'll go back.
Who Do They Think They Are?
Thought I'd stop by on my b-day and have some fun, meet some new people. A early 40s guy at front door taking $ made fun of my age when he inspected my driver's license. and even made fun of my looks, and all the early 20s guys behind me had a good laugh. I felt pretty bad. I'm a friendly and outgoing person and thought since its a large bar with different rooms and big dance area that I'd chat some people up. Each of the 5 people I tried to talk with were either indifferent or rude. It seems that if you're not a regular at Hunter's, forget it. I left after two hours and went into the City. I finally had an enjoyable d-day. A friend wanted to go there another time after that and I said, "no thank."
