What we say
Lounge and dance club with big name DJs
Hydrate filled a dance-bar void on Halsted near the center of Boystown. Usually no cover before midnight, which is when it starts to fill up. Go early and avoid the line when the bars close at 2am.

I was visiting Chicago as a tourist looking for a good club on Halsted. This club is more of a neighborhood bar with lots of locals rather than for tourists. Moderate crowd for a Friday & Saturday night; not huge but not empty either. Mix of gay & straight. Decent drink prices. I had a good time there although I've been to better clubs in my life.

This place was just ok. Great location, but not what I was expecting. Prices for drinks are WAY to high. But, at least it is clean.

Without a doubt this is the least friendly place in all of boystown. The staff feels that they are better looking and just all around better than us patrons. The drinks are expensive, theres a cover after 12 on the weekends, and don't expect to leave with your same level of hearing since its just way too loud. Sometimes they have drag queens which I dislike but a few weeks ago they had go-go dancers that couldn't have looked more bored, why bother? None of my friends will go there and after visiting a few weeks ago and last Saturday I understand why.

Hydrate is good after some heavy drinking at Roscoe's. If you like dance/techno, you will love it. Sometimes I get a headache from it though. It's definetely not a place to chill. Monday nights are $1 drinks, holler.
