BHM - Quiet Storm: The Art & Times of Black LGBTQ Life

Join us for Center on Halsted’s opening event for our Black History Month events. To kick-off Black History Month, we open with a showcase of Black LGBTQ life through artistic expression. Visual and performance artists who will be sharing their work include: Gerber Hart Library with a traveling exhibition of Black LGBTQ periodicals - Darryl Terrell, queer African-American photographer - Dr. Johari Jabir, musician and Associate Professor of African-American Studies at UIC - e. nina jay, spoken word poet
