THE JOANS
The mission of The Joans is simple; Give Joan Crawford, the legendary Hollywood star, the rock and roll voice she deserves, and make others aware of the groundbreaking, over the top persona that was, and is, Joan Crawford. The Joans embody her spirit through a recipe of one part new wave pop, a dash of garage rock, a generous helping of camp, and a pinch of theatrics topped off with original songs. Served hot, it pleases any crowd hungry for something out of the ordinary. Formed in April 2007, The Joans is the brainchild of David Cerda, Chicago playwright and Artistic Director of Hell in a Handbag Productions, a Chicago theater he co-founded. The Joans are:
Davy Joans- vocals, Jennifer Joans- vocals, Ed Joans- vocals/cleanser can, Taylor Joans- Guitarist, and Aaron Joans- vocals/drums, Steve Joans - bass
