Having been around since 1987, Roscoe's knows how to keep its crowds entertained. Today, a favorite of Halsted, this bar caters to its young, fun crowds who meet here to catch Roscoe's award-winning drag shows.

Fun Drag Race
I was here earlier in the evening on one of my nights in Boystown. Roscoe's is a legendary Chicago establishment that I've heard people all over the Midwest talk about. Frida Lay was hosting a fun drag race the night I was here. We went to Berlin to dance after the show ended, but it was definitely cool to stop in to this place that I hear so many people mention.
Packed like sardines that all wanna dance.
+1 that they recycle. They're probably the only bar in Boystown that recycles. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I'm writing this review for the cafe part of Roscoe's. I came here Saturday night with my boyfriend, we felt like eating somewhere that had outdoor seating. This is a great sidewalk cafe in the middle of boystown. The service was excellent, wait staff very friendly and attentive. The food is good too, i would not say it is excellent, but it is well worth coming back for. I ordered a vegetarian black bean burger, came with delicious tater tots. I think next time I would like to try their vegan coleslaw, I hear that is really good. Great place to come to if you are looking to eat somewhere that has outdoor seating on a nice summer night.
nice bar to start an evening
It might've been the day of the week, but it was quite empty, compared to other bars in that street. Prices could be a bit lower. As a traveler who just stopped by, it was quite hard to get to know anybody who seemed halfway sane (no offense!). The location is nice though. Would give it another shot on a saturday night.
