June Queer Contra: Pride!

Looking for an alternative to the bars this Pride? Queer Contra is at it again, celebrating Pride! Wear your rainbows, bring your flags, however you identify, and come and CELEBRATE! Contra is the perfect way to round out your Pride month, the day before the big parade and right after Dyke March! All are welcome.

~*~ Contra dance is inherently queer, and we dance it so! ~*~

Featuring LIVE music by Dance All Night (Kolleen Blume & Friends)!

Instant print PHOTO BOOTH!

The dance is from 7:00 - 9:30 pm with an introduction for beginners from 6:30 - 7 pm.

To help pay for the band, caller, and dance hall, we request attendees donate $10, payable at the door. No advance planning or experience is needed and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.* Potluck snack and beverages encouraged.

Share with friends, family, and neighbors who might be interested in coming out. Not in Chicago? Fear not! You probably still have friends that are. Invite them along, and we'll take good care of them.

Jim Edminster's monthly Queer Contra potluck is from 5-7pm, at 3123 N Seminary Ave, 60657. Weather permitting, we'll get to eat outside and enjoy the fresh air in Jim's pretty flower garden!
