Bad service staff

Great shows and talented drags. However, the service staff is rude and very unprofessional. They seem to forget that the audience is mostly straight and professionals who enjoys great drags shows and should be served accordingly.

Yuck

I was staying at the Weston North River, so was pleased to find a gay bar on line that was only a couple blocks from the hotel. There are a number of reasons to skip this joint if you are a road weary gay man looking to hang with the tribe. First the cover charge is steep, $15 for what you get. Second the staff is decidedly unfriendly, no smiles, no customer service. The act like they are doing you a favor. Next, it was not that busy, but it took them 15 minutes to wait on me. I was sitting at the bar, and they served me the sorriest short pour I have ever had for $7. The crowd was certainly enjoying the show, one drag queen after another. But here is my biggest complaint about the place. The audience was 85% straight. While billed as a gay performance bar, this is clearly a place for straight couples and bachelorette parties to come and watch the "freak show". . . If you are staying downtown, skip the Baton and take a taxi uptown and visit one of Chicago's real gay bars.

FANTABULOUS!!!

This is a must go at least 3 times in your life!!! The "girls" are incredibly talented & amazingly gorgeous!!!!! My friends and I go @ least 2 times each year and the shows never get old....as far as the extremely rude comment made in the previous comment here is what I have to say----don't go to a drag show if you are have a stick up your butt!!!! The MC is awesome and hilarious----IF YOU'RE GOOD TO MAMA-MAMA'S GOOD TO YOU!!!!!!!! Love to all the wonderful ladies of the baton and the awesome wait staff as well!! Muah!! Keep up the hard work b/c it pays off!!!!

Rude

The guy who sat us was extreamly rude! So was the 500 lb woman in the show who liked to pick on people in the audience.
