Small but Hot Hot Giuys
Finally a man's bar
I finally can hear something other than techno Thank you for the hip hop and letting there be something besides the same olé crap
Horrible bartenders and service and this comes from a bartender at another gay club in another city!! The bartenders are not that hot to have the attitude that they do. Music and bar layout is great though!!
mini
This lounge bar has a real good ambiance. probably attracts Chicago's better looking gay crowd on a night by night basis. lot of pretentious homos stand around and model. don't usually talk with anyone outside of their group and just stare at hot guys. not a good "meeting bar". there's a small dance floor which gets packed easy and can be fun. the bartenders take their shirts off Friday and Saturday nights around midnight. getting hired here requires prior gym membership. owners are cool. music is prolly the best you'll hear in boystown if you like dance, mixed up top40, and some electronic. drinks are prolly a dollar or two premium at this bar. I only wrote this review cuz I use gaycities in NYC and it was helpful sorta. I go to this bar pretty often, hope it helped. I'd def stop in if ur good looking ;)
Wow cant believe all the bad reviews
I dunno what u guys r talkin about, everyone workin there has always been very nice, the drinks are def not over priced (maybe either ur not used to drinks in the city, or u need to switch to wells). But either way its a fun bar, they play good music, have a decent crowd, and amzingly hott bartenders. Most of which r straight guys tho. But one last thing, if u older guys r pissed off by the way u were treated, mayne u creeped out the people there, and thats why u got weak drinks??
I have to say, I was there for my first time ever to bars in boystown, never knew a dress code, never knew anything about the gay bars in chicago, I walked in... a very nice looking bar. I talked to a few employees, and I was treated so well as an out of towner. I've seen the negative reviews about this bar written, but I have nothing bad to say. I was from out of town, my first time there, and I was treated so well. I give major props to the bar and it's employees
Wow... low score...
Been going to Mini for 3 years now. I actually hate it, tons of attitude, drinks are expensive, can't walk sometimes and other times you're all alone. Go in for a drink after 12 so you see hot bodies, then go party to the other bars. 3 years of experience.
JUST SAY NO!
This place had/has such great potential. You will see that if you can get in or thru the door. This place is packed and always over firecode. I sure hope a Rhode Island Nightclub fire NEVER happens here. The people are RUDE, the drinks are weak and expensive the place is nice, but too much for such a small spot. Save your money and go across the street to Roscoe's.
RACIST DOOR ATTENDENT

NOT IN COLOR MAYBE BUT IN SIZE. IAM A PLUS SIZE GAL VISITING CHICAGO. LOOKED ON LINE. IT SAID NOTION TO THE SORT OF A DRESS CODE. BUT THE MINI-DICK AT THE DOOR SAID MY PARTNER AND I DIDNT MEET THE DRESS CODE. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO BE? A SKINNY DOG... CAUSE LOOKING BACK THAT IS ALL WE SEEN THAT NIGHT.
WOULDNT RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE
Are you serious???
If you think Paris Hilton and her antics are 'cute' then this is your place. If not...I will go into detail so consider this a warning.
Been there 3X...every time was so crowded (fire code violation??) it was difficult to lift the beer to my lips...you know, the beer it took 45 minutes to get because the bartenders were so slammed with thirsty plastics.
Now here comes the "don't hate the beautiful' slam: the attitude was SO over the top, it was like these people were filming for a reality TV show. Seriously...I did not know people actually acted like this in public (or private for that matter).
From a sociological standpoint its fun. To their credit the music is good and the drinks were strong.
