Melrose Diner (Closed Permanently)

(15 Ratings)
Eat through a few too many

Melrose Diner is a 24 hour establishment in Boystown, making for the perfect antidote for your late night ailments (ahem). Somehow, chili fries are never quite as good for lunch.

Chili Fries

The best antidote to head off a hangover. There's nothing like chili fries coupled with a juicy burger to heal what will ail you in the morning. Well at least the food here will help soften the blow.

Wonderful!

Although you can easily find better places to eat in Boystown and Chicago, this is a great place for healthy portions of greasy spoon favorites. They don't pretend to be a great restaurant and have a loyal following. My partner and I love their omelletes and I am particularly fond of their skillet with jalapenos and chorizo mixed with eggs, hashbrowns, green peppers, etc....I think it's called the Mexican Skillet...the service is awesome and fast too! We've driven from the far far west burbs for their food!

Good at 3am- not so much other times

If you need food after going out, go here. But every time I've been here during the day, I couldn't help thinking that I should have gone to one of the many better restaurants nearby. Melrose serves a purpose, but there are many better choices.
