Margaritas to knock you on your ass

While the food here is standard Mexican fare, the margaritas and subtly strong and tasty. One too many and you'll get yourself into trouble, but that's ok since you can stumble down the street to any number of bars.

Service and waitstaff was great. Very friendly. We only went for drinks and sat outside. Note: order an extra shot for your drinks. We will be back.

OK Mexican

Hmmm well though the food is moderately priced.. its basically a no thrills mexican resturant.. where basically 75% of the menu taste the same.... and its not great. In terms of mexican restaurants in Chicago.. Las Mananitas have very bland food and large ,needs a shot more tequila, margaritas... It just has an ideal location and a patio for summer. You will be highly disappointed if you come with any other expectations.

Go for the margaritas.. stay for the food

Pleasant moderately priced menu... attractive and friendly staff. Menu selections for all tastes (mild to ouch!) and fantastic margaritas made with hand-squeezed lime juice!! The Halsted street location makes dinner and a night on the town.. a 1 parking spot deal!!
