Loved the environment. Crowd was hot. Food was yummy and the waiter adorable. Definitely coming back. Submitted via GayCities iPhone application

Wish I could allow myself to eat more wraps and burger in a week! Everything is super good at this place... Blueberry beer is great for those of us who don't like beer taste.

Stopped in for a drink and dinner with some friends and received nothing but poor service and awful food and drinks. My friends and I agreed to never to meet their again. Food and service used to be better. Not sure what happened, but don't waste your time here.

with the previous review. I have never had a bad meal at Halsted's. The bar is nice and the patio is awesome on a summer evening. I enjoy the banter with the bartenders who are always cute and sarcastic, just the way I like 'em. I hit this place about twice a month.

It actually used to be good when they first opened. They had an awesome chicken pesto paninni that I loved. At their 3 different times in the last year. BAD, BAD and BAD. The food quality has went down hill - and the service never was any good there. I even talked to the owner about the quality issues - he denied anything had changed. But it has.

Seriously guys, with such a great location, you'd think you'd put some real effort in to make this place awesome instead of a consistent disappointment. Have been here up to 10 times since it opened, and on a good night, it's been OK. Basic bar food and sandwiches-type cuisine. Seems there have been a few shakeups in staff and management, but it still does not even come close to its potential. I don't care how cute the staff is if the food and service is subpar. If anything, my meal (same sandwich) dropped in quality in July 2008 since I had it a few months earlier. If the food was really cheap, this would be acceptable, but prices are on a par with what else is in the area, if not higher. Hopefully, someone will eventually take over management of this place one day and really make it something special.

Waited 45 minutes for a table when half of the place was empty. Regular American food which you can find anywhere; the only difference is that it is much more expensive here. Waiters/Bartenders have a lot of attitude and bad service.

The former high cuisine X/O spot has been reconverted into a casual and fun sports bar and grill. Their menu boasts a large number of items ranging from burgers to other comfort food favorites like homemade meatloaf. A great bar area and spacious backyard make the restaurant worth a visit either before you hit the Boystown bars or as a destination itself. Oh, and be sure not to miss the cutest waitstaff around.
So, what do you say?
