The public areas of the hotel are quite nice, and the hotel is very conveniently located, but my room itself was very, very tiny and claustrophobic, and the bathroom was even tinier. Everything was "old and ugly" in the room. I'm a professional man and 61 years of age, and chose the hotel because I could walk to the Merchandise Mart from there. However, I would not stay there again, and with the good subway system, you can really stay most anywhere and hop on the subway to get where you want to go. Very convenient to the downtown theaters - it's in one. Also close to "El" and subway stations in north Loop.
