Basic guesthouse. Basement rooms felt like a fire trap. Prefer upstairs rooms.Submitted via GayCities iPhone application

I come to Chicago a few times a year and when The Majestic is booked I stay here. I stay because of the location mostly. I find the reservation staff abrubt and rude but normally just put up with it. Today different story I'm done with these guys. Terrible representation of such a beatiful friendly city. Phone manners aren't that difficult to learn.

A truly cozy little place in the heart of freedom! Would recommend it to anyone! The staff are very friendly & helpful, the breakfast selection was delightful, the garden was beautiful & peaceful, and the rooms clean & cozy. The only disappointment was that the advertised room we rented was to have a queen bed when really it was only a full sized bed. However; it was big enough for us. The location is within walking distance of popular hot spots & clubs! Our only other disappoinment is that we couldn't stay longer! We definately will be back to visit soon! Thank you for the hospitality!

Quiet, clean and reasonably priced. Staff is very friendly. I enjoyed my stay and would go there again without hesitation.

We stayed many times at the Villa Toscana. Unfortunately, we have discovered that they have very poor business practices. We had booked our room on their own online site. They sent us a confirmation guaranteeing the room, the price, and the days. We received a phone call weeks later asking us to stay somewhere else. They had promised the rooms to another party (even though they had not officially booked them). I stated that we wanted to stay there. We had been officially confirmed and this was their mistake not ours. They said they would see what they could do to alleviate the problem.
A month later, we received an e-mail informing us that they were cancelling our reservation. No consolation or anything - as I said, this was THEIR fault. They don't care about repeat customers (and we were very good guests) or fair business practices. WATCH OUT!!!!!
