Join Reunion Chicago and #PrEP4love for a celebration of communal self-care. That’s right, Reunion, Chicago’s femme, queer & POC centered coworking & event space and PrEPLove, Chicago’s citywide social marketing and community mobilization campaign showing how people can love, explore, and touch freely because of #PrEP invite you to nurture the goddess within with a special day of a free tailored specifically to our collective communities. Start of the day with Slo 'Mo Party’s popular Slow Jams Yoga lead by Karla Huffman of Gypsy Yoga, who will guide you through a session set to your favorite R&B jams (RSVP required).
Then enjoy healthy snacks and refreshments and sign up for a free wellness session from a number of queer-owned entrepreneurs: Get a hair or beard trim or fade by Taylor Casey, relax with a thai massage by Tristen Seven, get those brows on fleek with coriama couture, make your nails pop with Gigi Lira of Gigi Jiggles, grab a femme-powered tarot card reading from Aquarius Aquarius of Fem Pow Tarot or get to truly know yourself with a natal chart reading from Ashley Ray-Harris.
Yoga has limited capacity, and therefore RSVP is required at https://p4l-queercareday.eventbrite.com. Yoga will take place 11am-12:30pm; the health care services will open to the public at 1pm. Please be thoughtful of your community and sign up for a maximum of two sessions so we may serve as many people as possible at https://p4l-queercareday.eventbrite.com.
The first Queer Care Day was launched at Reunion in June, 2017 in partnership with Howard Brown Health to provide free, all ages, intersectional programming to the LGBTQ community focused on wellness as an alternative to the nightlife-centered events typically offered Pride Month. Along with its community partners, Reunion's Queer Care Days aim to boost self-esteem and generate community connection.
