Queer Brown Brunch Chicago - July 29th

WHAT IS BROWN BRUNCH? Brown Brunch is an incredible, casual space, where Trans and Queer People of Color (QTPoC) come together. We share stories, laugh, and spark great friendships. Magic happens here! Please feel free to invite your QTPoC friends!!! Brown Brunch is potluck style. There is always plenty of food for everyone. Feel free to bring a dish, or just your wonderful self, and come share time with this incredible community. Brown Brunch is super rad and chill. There's no specific agenda other than connection. Brown Brunch is a dry and sober event, we like to make this space as safe and intentional for everyone. Brown Brunch is mixed aged and your children are always welcomed. PLEASE READ THIS PARAGRAPH ***This space is for queer and trans people of color only.*** There are plenty of ally-inclusive events around town, feel free to check those out. We ask that you respect this much-needed and treasured space for people struggling to create community with fellow QTPoC. Thanks! ABOUT THE LOCATION The location is determined by the group, and is different each month. We try to make sure it's not always in the same neighborhood to ensure that as many folks as possible can attend. We encourage carpooling and are happy to help figure that out together. Let us know if you need a ride. If you have the space, ability and interest in hosting please let us know. In the summer months we can also utilize public parks for picnic style BB's. ACCESSIBILITY We try to be mindful of accessibility, and will do our very best accommodate those with special needs and/or mobility challenges. Also, we ask that everyone label their foods for those with dietary restrictions or allergies. CAN I BRING MY WHITE PARTNER? You may be wondering, if your white partner can attend. We ask that you refrain from bringing them. Adding a white person to the event changes the chemistry of the space we’re creating. We REALLY want you to join us and help us create a supportive community for QTPoC. Please know that we typically hang out together afterwards at events that are not BB-related. White partners and close friends are totally welcomed to join us for that. :)
