Be Heard! Fundraiser benefiting Lurie Children's and Northwestern's Gender & Vocal Therapies programs. Date - November 10th 6:00pm - 8:00pm Event Info - $20 suggested donation (includes 2 drink tickets) at the door. Additional donations always accepted. Be Heard! is benefitting BeHeard and BeStrong – two programs developed for trans youth by Lurie Children’s Gender & Sex Development Program and its community partners. BeHeard, an 8-hour vocal therapy group, is run in partnership with speech therapists at Northwestern University’s Center for Audiology, Speech, Language, and Learning. BeStrong, a 10-hour workout and physical wellness group, is run in partnership with personal trainer, Carsen Casica, with space donated by Hardware CrossFit. Proceeds from the event will cover group participation for youth with financial need. Last year’s event helped create the foundation to these programs that work to support transgender youth is many aspects of their life so they remain healthy and happy.
