After Orlando: A Night of Readings

AFTER ORLANDO, a night of readings Produced by Iris Sowlat in association with the Pride Arts Center, NoPassport Theatre Alliance, and Missing Bolts Productions Presented in the Pride Arts Center's "Broadway" space, at 4139 N. Broadway St., Chicago. AFTER ORLANDO is an international theatre movement created by NoPassport Theatre Allaince & Press and Missing Bolts Productions in observance of Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida earlier this year. Iris Sowlat, in association with the Pride Arts Center, is proud to present the Chicago installment of AFTER ORLANDO. This evening features staged readings of 16 new short plays, directed by Iris Sowlat, Denise Yvette Serna, JD Caudill, and Aaron Arbiter, with sound design by Jim Alrutz. Playwrights include Cecelia Copeland, Migdalia Cruz, Zac Kline, Neil LaBute, Jessica Litwak, Anders Lustgarten, Jennifer Maisel, Rohina Malik, Tyler McCray, Winter Miller, Viet Nguyen, Ryan Oliveira, Katie Pearl, Darryl Pickett, Lisa Schlesinger, and Ken Urban. Casts will include Ruben Adorno, Joseph Alvey, Christabel Donkor, Lauren Fisher, Avi Kritzman, Juan Munoz, Krystal Ortiz, Whitney Pipes, Alyssa Vera Ramos, Melissa Reeves, Brandon Rivera, Rolo Rodriguez, James Romney, Avi Roque, Shozzett Silva, Erik Strebig, June Thiele, and Gabrielle Wilson. Admission is free. There will be a donation collection, and all donations will be split equally between Equality Florida, CALOR, and the Pride Arts Center.
