Halloween Party – Chicago Athletic Association Hotel

Step into the dark on Saturday, October 29; there’s plenty of places to hide... Into the darkness and away from the light, all beings are given the choice to succumb to fear, or crave a deeper sense of wonder… On Saturday, October 29, we invite you to embrace a childlike sense of exploration as you make your way through the hotel with the mystery and chilling potential of the unknown. The evening features curious discomfort, and interactive installations confronting one with a warped sense of their own existence, and the eerie awareness that every movement is being observed by an otherworldly entity. Have you stumbled into the lair of a friend or foe? The darkness begins at 6 p.m. in the hotel’s first floor, The Tank, which is transformed into pop-up bar where palm and tarot reading begin at 8:30 p.m. Moving upwards to the second floor Drawing Room and Game Room, guests will experience live pop-up music sets from various Chicago artists who come together to set the tone of mystery. The evening culminates when musician Nikki Lane commands the fourth floor with her unique style of sound, like a modern-era Wanda Jackson, followed by a guest DJ set by DāM-FunK. The concert is presented by The Empty Bottle in the hotel’s original gymnasium, Stagg Court. *SOLD OUT* Tickets for access to fourth floor entertainment and activities are available for $25, and include entry to Stagg Court beginning at 8 p.m. where guests will wind their way through complimentary activities, such as aura photography from Radiant Human.
