Light Up the Lakefront 2016

Join us to light thousands of luminaries in honor of the adults and children affected by domestic violence at this annual event. This event launches Domestic Violence Awareness Month. There will be an opportunity to dedicate a candle to someone impacted by domestic violence. Volunteers are welcomed to help set up, light, and take down the luminaria. Volunteers arrive starting at 4:30pm. Clean up around 8:00pm. The candles will be lit once the sun goes down around 7:15. Bring a long neck (aim 'n' flame lighter if you have one). We'll have some snacks and water, but feel free to bring your own. Do not bring valuables! Dress warm/in layers! This is a free event. No tickets necessary.
