Audience Choice: Favorite Chicago Film

FAVORITE CHICAGO FILM The Dark Knight (2008; PG-13, 152 min) Audience members voted throughout the summer for their favorite Chicago-made film. The Dark Knight filmed in Chicago for three months during the summer of 2007. The film was directed by Chicago native Christopher Nolan. And it was nominated for eight Academy Awards, winning two: Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role (Heath Ledger) and Best Achievement in Sound Editing (Richard King). MILLENNIUM PARK SUMMER FILM SERIES is brought to you by the Millennium Park Foundation (co-curated with the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events) on Tuesdays, June 21 – August 30 at 6:30pm. Guests may take a seat at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion or lounge on the Great Lawn as crowd-pleasing movies are presented on a state-of-the-art, 40-foot LED screen. Admission is free.
