Chicago for Chicagoans is excited to announce a return to our roots! For this repeat of our popular Albany Park walking tour, we'll be taking a roughly 1.5 hour walk through the Albany Park community area, including the sub-neighborhood of Ravenswood Manor. Beginning at the Kimball Brown Line stop, the tour will cover the history, parks, and landmarks of one of Chicago's most ethnically diverse zip codes. The afternoon will end with tacos and margaritas at Restaurante El Mogote. Come show your love for this tour series and learn a little more about your place in space!
Chicago for Chicagoans happily exists as a "pay-what-you-can" tour service. A suggested tip of $10 per person is always appreciated, but reviewing us on Yelp, liking us on Facebook, spreading the word, and attending future tours tells us how much you love us too!
Proudly supported by the North River Commission, the Albany Park Chamber of Commerce, and the Albany Park Community Center.
Tour runs for 1.5 to 2 hours. Please come prepared to walk, outdoors, for about 3 miles. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water bottles and sunglasses, etc. After the tour, anyone is welcome to join the group for a meal at El Mogote, 4959 N Kedzie Ave.
