Dementia Me, like all my plays, brings my life experiences to the stage. This play focuses on my two-year tenure as activities director for a memory care center. My job was to make the last moments of these patients’ lives meaningful with physical and mental stimulation…and parties! The show starts with one such fun event — a birthday party full of balloons. Through the magic of theatre, these balloons transform into the residents in my care.
