***We'd like to get an idea of how much ice and Halo Halo fixings to bring, so please fill out the survey in the comments!
We'll celebrate, heal, and send solidarity to families in Orlando and across communities where intersectional identities as LGBTQ/South Asian/black/brown/disabled are heavily policed/criminalized.

MORE INFO on I Speak Power!
I Speak Power is an immigrant and refugee program that partners with ESL classes to build powerful grassroots leaders. Courageous Asian immigrant and refugee grassroots leaders are emerging from Asian Americans Advancing Justice | Chicago's I Speak Power program! This new program arose out of a serious need to build stronger leadership in our community, especially in a time where our state is 2 YEARS WITHOUT a budget to fund immigrant & refugee services along with other critical services and programs for Illinoisans.
.
Pledge $50, $30, $20, or any amount!
Our goal is raise $5,000 by Saturday, July 9th for I Speak Power in order to invest in the leadership of Asian immigrant and refugee leaders.
.
Celebrate Our Community Power:
If you donate at least $20, you will have admission to our I Speak Power Benefit where we will celebrate the work of volunteers, community leaders, and look forward towards a vision that builds the capacity for our Asian immigrant and refugee community!
.
We're Fighting Back:
As this crisis grows, grassroots leaders are speaking out and organizing their communities. Last month, 400 Asian American community leaders went to Springfield to fight for an equitable budget that includes immigrant services, Automatic Voter Registration, and Domestic Worker Bill of Rights.
Through collective community power & coalitions, we successfully passed the Domestic Worker Bill of Rights and Automatic Voter Registration through the IL House and Senate...now onto the governor's desk!
By investing in I Speak Power, we will secure future wins for our community and continue to fight for an equitable budget for all Illinoisans.
Please invest in our immigrant and refugee leadership!
