Follow Me on Friday for the official grand opening of the newest restaurant on Sheridan Road–Rogers Pier, 6800 N. Sheridan (at Pratt). The fun takes place this Friday, June 3rd, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Jun 2016 013Owner Quy An will be offering up samples of some of her favorite delicacies, including grilled stuffed fish (stuffed with shredded crab), Capellini di Mare (a seafood pasta dish), Vuelva a la vida (a seafood cocktail similar to ceviche) and bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp. Enjoy a complimentary beer, wine or soft drink as you taste her delicious seafood fare. This new seafood bar and grill promises to infuse our neighborhood with a mix of international flavor, cultural traditions and a love for giving back. Growing up in a Vietnamese-Chinese family, food has always been a big part of Quy’s family life. And not individual helpings that are common in the United States, but full shareable pots and bowls, which is evident in the portions served at Rogers Pier! The menu features typical seafood fare, such as boiled crawfish served in a bag (customizable with spices, corn, and/or potatoes), and delicious grilled platters, such as catfish stuffed with real shredded crab meat, drizzled with garlic butter, and topped with melted cheese. Choose from a 12 oz. seared steak served on a sizzling plate with a medley of vegetables and Italian potatoes or go lighter with a high stacked salad complete with mixed toppings and your choice of meat. Quy’s restaurant fits in with our neighborhood’s values. Rogers Pier has adopted the model of buy one, give one. For every meal ordered at her restaurant, Quy will donate one dollar to the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Each dollar donated to the food bank translates into three meals for those in need in the Chicago area. Through her campaign, #EatitFWD, Quy intends to raise the community’s awareness of hunger in our midst and empower every individual who comes through Rogers Pier’s doors.
