It started as a grass roots event from Universal Sole's Lakeview store to bring people together for an easy fun run of 3 or 5 miles coupled with craft beer and burgers from various Lakeview neighborhood bars! It has always been about bringing the Chicago running community together for a once a month event where friends can catch up, folks can make new friends and everyone enjoys the company while heading out on a fun run in Chicago's historic Lakeview and Lincoln Park neighborhoods. With the growth and popularity of the Burgers & Beer Fun Runs, folks have asked if we were ever going to do an official Burgers & Beer race! Well, here we are, the 5th annual Burgers & Beer 5k presented by Shake Shack is officially here on July 18, 2016!
Race Details:
-Premium Church Key Bottle Opener & B&B Pint Glass for all registered participants!
-Water and Gatorade at the Start/finish area! In addition, there will be (2) aid stations on course.
-Post race raffle with great prizes from Universal Sole and our partners!
-Awards:
-The top three overall Male & Female
-Age Group M&F Awards: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
Packet Pick-up: Packet pick-up will be available on race day. Pre-race packet pick-up will be held at Universal Sole in Chicago at the following times:
-Thursday, July 14 from 11am-8pm
-Friday, July 15 from 11am-8pm
-Saturday, July 16 from 11am-6pm
-Sunday, July 17 from 12pm-5pm
-Monday, July 18 from 5:30pm-6:3pm (RACE DAY)

Strollers & Dogs: Strollers and dogs are allowed. We ask that you start in the back at the beginning of the run/walk.
