Fantastically-named Chicago band TOUCHED BY GHOUL return to our stage to headline a super-friendly Free Monday tonight. The four-piece brings disturbingly addictive tracks that will hopefully be making their way onto their upcoming debut LP soon. We imagine they'll bring the darkness with em tonight and can only hope we'll get some new tracks alongside those burners we know and love. Genre-busting, celestially riotous Chicago four-piece SEXY FIGHTS makes their Bottle debut tonight and are doubling down by releasing their brand new single this very evening. The band creates sounds that seem equally beamed in from the past and the future, underground and the skies. Retro disco sounds merge with psych-rock textures, soaring vocals meet futurist synthscapes, all evoking the classic & the modern in a body of work that subverts the fashionably vintage for a thrillingly propulsive new world style. THE EX-BOMBERS return to our stage for their first show here since opening for THE PACK A.D. way back in March of 2014. The BOMBERS have been described as “jazz for dirtbags” or “punk for beatniks” by critics, hinting at the maximum minimalism found on their LPs, as well as the raw cabaret element they bring to the stage. A decidedly avant and speedy brand of bizarre pop music, the duo is comprised of KERI COUSINS on sultry drums and SCOTT WALUS on a weathered 8-string bass, combining their distinctive voices to weave together dark and catchy songs. Kicking this shindig off is WAD, a band from Chicago that plays punky, grungy swill. WAD was last seen in June and before that helped organize the Empty Bottle's Fuck New Year's Eve party with LIL TITS and THE BABY MAGIC. Ask em about our WAD Sauce.
