About SWEET POISON VICTIM:
Sweet Poison Victim is an eclectic group of musicians based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. Started in the summer of 2012 as a meeting of the minds where up to 20 people would cram into a small living room and jam, the group eventually turned into a smaller ensemble. What was left became what is now known as SPV. Their sound focuses around African and Pan-American rhythms, fused with Western Rock and Pop influences. Frontman Kwesi Brown, a native of Ghana, helps craft and shape the band's music and musical direction. Being a group of many different cultures, each member brings and blends their own unique quality to solidify the sound of the group. Their goal is to spread their unique blend of culture and music beyond the borders of Indianapolis, and show that music is a universal language that we all share.
About BROSO aka K.SABROSO:
Over the last 5 years, Sutiweyu Sandoval (as K. Sabroso), has gone from being a dancer turned underground bedroom producer to an internationally respected DJ, composer, and remixer. His unique approach to breakbeats and streetdance music has earned him label releases, radio play, blogger love, and gigs across the world.
Most recently, Sutiweyu (using the moniker Broso) has placed a distinct emphasis on creating dance music that follows his Pan-African philosophies which incorporates sounds from across the African Diaspora including Baile Funk, Merengue, Trap, Twerk, Dancehall, House, Soca, Kuduro, Kwaito, and even Punta & Paranda (in tribute to his Garifuna heritage) into a loving homage to the Diaspora as a whole.
About SHAZAM BANGLES:
Shazam Bangles is a crossfade renegade and record junkie. In his teenage years, Bangles was drawn to the varied selection, rebellious style, and technical fluency of mix tape and college radio DJs. Constantly expanding his vinyl archives, he prides himself on his versatility & range and has been fortunate to play alongside artists such as Animal Collective, DJ Krush, Rashad, D-Styles, Edan, Rob Swift, and De La Soul.
Bangles can be found at his most technical within a Cutz On Cuts-style set, or at his most funky flipping records with The Boogie Munsters at their monthly trend-killing loft parties city-wide. He recently broadened his party-rocking scope by joining the respected Style Matters team and can also be heard on the radio for Vocalo 90.7FM as part of Vocalo DJ Collective the 1st Friday of every month. Shazam Bangles was selected to be part of the Collective after winning 1st place in an open format “Quest For The Best” Chicago DJ Competition in 2012.
