Roscoe's is one of the friendliest bars in Chicago. The people are cool and you can always meet someone interesting. They have a great casual restaurant that serves great food from really hot boys. Dining outside is especially great when the wheather is nice. You get to see some hot eye candy walking by.

Some bars like this just keeps going and going with fun customers and friendy bartenders. A place where you WILL have a good time.

This place is so much fun. Different rooms, different sounds....lots of fun and people to meet. This is a must when visiting Chicago for the first...and EVERYTIME!

Roscoes is on the corner of Halsted in Boystown and has something for everyone...fun big bar room, pool table room, outdoor patio and a big dance floor in the back....whatever your flavor, you'll find it at Roscoe's.

Had a great time. So much to do and see in this place. The 'special' drinks were watered down and somewhat overpriced, the heterosexual patrons were obnoxious, but the staff was VERY friendly, the music was great and the bartenders kicked butt!

i was i vacation for Obama election last year, everyday i had a fun time here, the bar is amazing and bartender in the big room was very friendly and give me tips on things to see and do in Chicago during my stay.The doormen were always polite, the only bad thing is smoking is forbiden even on the roof top terrace :( Spending election night here was fantastic! i'll never forget this moment!

First time in Boystown, Roscoe's was our favorite. Drinks were expensive, but it had a really fun crowd and good music. We just wished we stayed here longer and DID NOT wander over to Hydrate.

This place was the first gay bar I ever got into, Awesome dance floor and nice bartenders if you go on a sat. night find Ricky M for your bartender. He always has a line but will remember you and ur drink! fun times fun place!

I was in Roscoe's on Jan. 17th, 2009 and ordered 2 chocolate martini's and a pitcher of Miller Lite and it came out to $39.00. I couldn't beleive it so I asked the dar tender how much each item was and he said $13.00 a piece for the chocolate martini's and $13.00 for the pitcher. Needless to say we had one drink there. Went down the street to Hydrant and Bucks and thier chocolate martinis were $8.00 each and pitchers were $9.00. Avoid Roscoe's at all costs believe me it ain't worth it.

Sorry guys, they make it so difficult to move around, don't bother. The sidewalk cafe in the summer is nice, the food leaves much to be desired but the people watching is good. This would be the other bar I dislike in town, there are only 2 so this is quite an honor - lol.

This place has a great atmosphere, younger guys are everywhere. Has great energy, friendly staff, and a nice broken up floor plan to let you locate in the place you want. it's a casual place, Jeans and a tee shirt prevail. Clearly Chicago should be proud of Roscoe's!

I agree with everyone. Roscoe's is the best gay bar in Boystown. It's cool because you can go on the dance floor and shake-it to "dance" music, or you can hang out in the video-bar, where they play more top-40's stuff. And you can dance up there too. Sunday nights are fun, they have male-call where you take a number, and then can write messages to each other, in case you're too shy to come out and ask.

I have always had a great time at Roscoe's; and, have usually picked up a "date" most times. (I am from STL, not Chitown.) The Dance floor rocks!! The guys are hot as hell!

This has to be the best place to go and dance. I Have to say had a fantastic time there, with a happy ending.

As a visitor, you HAVE to go here. It's sort of like a pilgrimmage to a Gay Mecca!? It's got cold beer and some good eye candy to go with it. Could use a little updating as it's laid out with lots of narrow corridors and old built in seating/standing areas. Overall, a great place to start your night in Chicago.

Chicago - my favor gay city to visit. Roscoe's has multiple bar areas, including some outdoor seating a moderate size dance floor. It attracts a fairly young crowd and the bar with wooden floors and rustic appearance is happier for those wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Roscoe's is always fun and generally friendly patrons make this a nice place to visit.

I am from Chicago moved to North Carolina and i will tell you what Chicago has the best gay life and bars GOD I MISS HOME. Roscoes is by far the best place to be in BOYSTOWN!!

Was visiting Chicago, stopped into Roscoe's, some of the hottest looking guys in town and FRIENDLY! Within 2 hours people were offering to take you on a tour of the city and to a cubs game with their buddies etc... will difinitly hit that place again next time I'm in town.

This is the hottest club in Chicago's "Boy's Town", especially if you are 21-32, LOTS of young guys, great dance floor, outdoor seating, crowded late Friday and Saturday, but still a crowd late afternoon also.
