What we say
Hip lounge with mixed crowd and hot electronic music, often with a live DJ
Minibar Ultra Lounge and Cafe draws an upwardly mobile, somewhat pretty boy crowd. The bartenders are all hot and usually take off their shirts as the bar fills up. Great drinks (a little pricey) and excellent wine list.

Been going to Mini for 3 years now. I actually hate it, tons of attitude, drinks are expensive, can't walk sometimes and other times you're all alone. Go in for a drink after 12 so you see hot bodies, then go party to the other bars. 3 years of experience.

This place had/has such great potential. You will see that if you can get in or thru the door. This place is packed and always over firecode. I sure hope a Rhode Island Nightclub fire NEVER happens here. The people are RUDE, the drinks are weak and expensive the place is nice, but too much for such a small spot. Save your money and go across the street to Roscoe's.

NOT IN COLOR MAYBE BUT IN SIZE. IAM A PLUS SIZE GAL VISITING CHICAGO. LOOKED ON LINE. IT SAID NOTION TO THE SORT OF A DRESS CODE. BUT THE MINI-DICK AT THE DOOR SAID MY PARTNER AND I DIDNT MEET THE DRESS CODE. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO BE? A SKINNY DOG... CAUSE LOOKING BACK THAT IS ALL WE SEEN THAT NIGHT.
WOULDNT RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE

If you think Paris Hilton and her antics are 'cute' then this is your place. If not...I will go into detail so consider this a warning.
Been there 3X...every time was so crowded (fire code violation??) it was difficult to lift the beer to my lips...you know, the beer it took 45 minutes to get because the bartenders were so slammed with thirsty plastics.
Now here comes the "don't hate the beautiful' slam: the attitude was SO over the top, it was like these people were filming for a reality TV show. Seriously...I did not know people actually acted like this in public (or private for that matter).
From a sociological standpoint its fun. To their credit the music is good and the drinks were strong.

The staff makes all the difference for me and the staff here seems to think they are better than the rest of us mere mortals. I won't go back, the upside is when they move the 2 bars I most dislike will be next to each other so I can just skip that section.
