What we say
Friendly and welcoming bar
Visitors and regulars rave about owner Michelle Fire and her desire to make this a place you can call home. Non-smoking inside, with a nice patio outside. Michelle also runs a restaurant next door called Tweet and provides a buffet on Sundays.

I LOVE BIG DICKS..OOOPS..BIG CHICKS..get the freudian slip..people think this is a lesbian bar when they hear the name. but it's a great atmosphere compared to sidetracks or roscoes in boystown. the location isnt the best but overall on friday and saturdays i loved dancing at this bar. the art hanging was amazing and i commend the owner for her efforts.

Big Chicks is a neighborhood bar with an urban clientele. Michelle, the owner, has to be the coolest bar owner in town. The crowd can go from young and hip to older and former-hip, but usually encompasses all of them and more.

Maybe the restaurant next door is good. But I didn't really feel comfortable walking into the bar. While I was deciding whether or not to stay and have a drink, the bartender disappeared...problem solved. Sorry. I didn't feel this was the best bar for a lonely stranger in town.
